COVID-19 Response

Making Positive Changes

During this unprecedented time we are all having to adapt and change what we do and how we do it, and more essentially work together and help each other.

A statement from the UK Government - "Furloughed employees should be encouraged to undertake training."

So to help ensure individuals can access material to allow them to train the CNet team has made a number of adjustments to ensure we can continue to support our customers in every way possible and to allow you to continue your professional development activities as planned during this period of restricted travel and social distancing.

Thank you for your continued support, let’s keep working together and we will get through this and most importantly #staysafe.

Remote Attendance Programs

For the last three years we have been delivering programs via ‘Remote Attendance’ (currently 42% of our learners are remote attendees), we anticipated this would be driven by the need to operate in a more sustainable and environmentally sensitive way, we obviously did not anticipate COVID-19.

We have worked hard to expand our Remote Attendance capability and are pleased that we now have 15 dedicated Smart Rooms, allowing us to deliver 15 different classes simultaneously across the world. We have a full schedule of program dates in time zones across the world that are Guaranteed to Run #GTR and have moved any planned classroom-based programs over the coming months to Remote Attendance classes, allowing them to continue as planned.

If you have not seen our Remote Attendance program delivery, we urge you to book onto one of our 40-minute demonstration sessions so you can see for yourself.

We are also working hard to develop solutions to allow us to continue to deliver our classes that include high levels of practical work. Our first one being the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®).

Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) program remotely

To allow learning to continue during this restricted time we have re-organised the sought after CNCI® program in the UK to be a blended learning option that combines Remote Attendance classes (allowing you to learn the theory elements) followed by practical sessions to be scheduled in the future once restrictions are lifted.

The Communications Infrastructure Engineers within 241 Signal Squadron

CNet Training is working further to support the Royal Signals to inspire Communications Infrastructure Engineers within 241 Signal Squadron to consider a career within the data centre sector after military service. By sharing its Data Centre Fundementals distance learning programme with 241 Signal Squadron free of charge, CNet hopes to encourage and motivate personnel within the unit to learn more about the training opportunities within the industry.

Michael Lane CDCDP of 241 Signal Squadron adds, “As a resource of engineers for the MoD managing and operating Data Centre facilities globally. Members of 241 Signal Squadron need to constantly align with the sector to remain competent within an ever-changing industry. Many thanks to CNet training for providing this platform for remote learning.”
