Network Infrastructure Programs - Classroom-based Safety Measures

The CNet team would like to reassure customers about the additional safety measures it will be putting in place, once restrictions are lifted, in all classroom-based network infrastructure programs.

Class Sizes, Deep Cleaning and Social Distancing

  • Social distancing will be maintained throughout all programs
  • Class sizes have been reduced to:
  • Maximum 8 learners for the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®)
  • Maximum 6 learners for Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician (CIIT®) and the Certified Outside Plant Technician (COPT®)
  • Program delivery is limited to one class per training facility at any one time
  • Each facility will be professionally deep cleaned with fogging and decontamination
  • All desks and workstations will be at least 2 metres apart
  • Breakout and lounge areas will be set up to adhere to social distancing requirements
  • Each learner will have their own dedicated workspace
  • Teaching and demonstration methods have been modified to ensure social distancing is maintained
  • All practical exercises have been modified to ensure social distancing is maintained
  • Learners must bring their own food  

Tools, Equipment and PPE

  • All workstations, tools and equipment will be fully sanitised after each class
  • Tools and equipment will be issued and dedicated to individuals for the duration of each program:
  • PPE
  • 1 x Fluke tester per person
  • 1 x Splicer per person
  • Dedicated hand tools per person
  • Dedicated consumables kit per person

PPE Per Learner on Every Class:

  • Disposable Gloves
  • Safety Glasses
  • Hand Sanitiser
  • Anti-bacterial Wipes
  • Face Masks
  • Disposable Aprons

We respectfully ask all customers to adhere to the following safety measures at all times:

  • Use the PPE provided
  • Stay at least 2 metres away from others
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow, or into a tissue and dispose of it straight away
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Regularly sanitise your hands, especially before and after using tools and equipment
