Network Infrastructure Programs - Classroom-based Safety Measures

The CNet team would like to reassure customers that it is constantly following Government advice and has put in place the following additional safety measures for classroom-based network infrastructure programs. It is vital that you take personal responsibility for adherence to these measures to help ensure personal safety.

Class Sizes, Deep Cleaning and Social Distancing

  • Social distancing will be maintained throughout all programs
  • Class sizes have been reduced to:
  • Maximum 8 learners for the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®)
  • Maximum 6 learners for Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician (CIIT®) and the Certified Outside Plant Technician (COPT®)
  • Each facility will be fully sanitised with deep cleaning spray
  • All desks and workstations will be positioned to adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • Each learner will have their own dedicated workspace
  • Teaching and demonstration methods have been modified to ensure social distancing is maintained
  • Breakout and lounge areas will be set up to adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • Break times will be staggered to minimise learner interaction between classes
  • All practical exercises have been modified to ensure social distancing is maintained
  • Learners must bring their own food

Tools, Equipment and PPE

  • All workstations, tools and equipment will be fully sanitised after each class
  • All tools and equipment will be issued and dedicated to individuals for the duration of each program (as applicable), please do not share:
  • PPE
  • 1 x Fluke test equipment platform (DSX-5000/8000, Smart Remote Unit, DSX-5000/8000 Modules (copper), Certifiber® Unit, Optifiber® Unit, Fibre Inspector, Test Leads, Adapters)
  • 1 x Fibre Optic Fusion Splicer
  • Dedicated hand tools per person
  • Dedicated consumables kit per person

PPE per learner on every class:

  • Disposable Gloves
  • Safety Glasses
  • Hand Sanitiser
  • Anti-bacterial Wipes
  • Face Masks
  • Disposable Aprons

Please keep all PPE for your own personal use, please do not share.

We respectfully ask all customers to adhere to the following safety measures at all times:

  • Use the PPE provided
  • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow, or into a tissue and dispose of it straight away
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Regularly sanitise your hands, especially before and after using tools and equipment
