- that you can do a level 7 Apprenticeship which is equivalent to a master’s degree?
- that being an apprentice means you gain a recognised qualification while you are employed and are given paid time to study?
An Apprenticeship is simply the name for the powerful combination of academic study and work-based experience, applicable at all stages of a career, and we don’t think it’s a particularly good name.

We believe in continuing professional development, regardless of age, rank, experience or responsibility level.
We believe that in order to change attitudes, we need to change the way people see Apprenticeships.
We believe in calling a spade a spade.
We believe a better name for Apprenticeship opportunities is Careerships®.
Careerships® capture the essence of the opportunities that Apprenticeships offer and therefore advocate life-long learning, reskilling and upskilling at any stage of a career journey.
Careerships® can appeal to both existing and prospective employees, offering inclusive opportunities to start or progress careers, regardless of age, existing knowledge, experience or skill level.
