What a day! The CNet Infrastructure Technology Curriculum Forum is always great a event to bring together industry professionals to discuss the latest trends and evolving needs in the industry all with the objective of scoping future education requirements.
The 2019 Forum saw a fantastic turnout, bringing together enthusiastic and experienced professionals from a variety of leading network infrastructure organisations.
We work closely together with members to define their education needs and determine updates for existing programs and to help scope the framework for future new program development. Andrew Stevens comments, “It’s great being able to work together with the industry to help shape the future of the network infrastructure sector and really make a difference through joined-up thinking to scope the future knowledge, development and professional certification needs.”
Paul Gorman CNCI CNIDP CNIT, CNet Training Technical Development Manager adds, “We have been running forums since 2016 and we enormously value the feedback and advice we get from the attendees. The Forum also allows an opportunity for CNet Training to demonstrate to the members that we do listen, and we do act on their considered advice they give to us.”
A measure of the success of this partnership is the addition of the new Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician (CIIT®) program, which has been added to The Global Digital Infrastructure Education Framework. The CIIT® program develops knowledge and practical skills required to deliver network infrastructure projects that include the installation and commissioning of intelligent network devices. It reflects the need for network cable installers to extend their skillsets and take on the installation of equipment supporting the rollout of Smart technologies such as wireless access points, CCTV cameras, security access control solutions etc. The aim is to instil a high level of confidence and official certification so that technicians will be undaunted when dealing with products for the first time.
A big thank you from CNet Training to everyone who attended this year, if you would like to come along to our next CNet Infrastructure Forum please get in touch.
