Leading IT infrastructure management company LMG is investing heavily in its team by committing employees to on-going training, education and professional development with the global leaders in data centre and network infrastructure education, CNet Training.
For over a quarter of a century LMG has gained unique insight into the relationship between a building’s IT infrastructure and technology, building services, space and, most importantly, the demands of occupants. The company is committed to providing quality services throughout all areas of their business and to achieve this they recognise the need for employees to develop their knowledge, skills, official certifications and industry recognised qualifications.
The majority of the employees will be attending programs from The Global Data Centre and Network Infrastructure Education Framework, originated by CNet Training to provide professionally mapped education programs to actual roles into the sectors. The Framework allows individuals to enter at any level but they can also follow the carefully mapped programs in line with their career progression. The majority of the chosen LMG employees will attend the Certified Network Infrastructure Technician (CNIT®) program. This in-depth program aims to progress employees’ knowledge, abilities and confidence to that of a site delivery manager. Successful completion of the program confirms that the individuals have the knowledge and practical skills to confidently manage, control and deliver complex infrastructure projects to a quality and technical compliance standard. It also provides official certification, complete with the ability to use a post nominal title and an industry recognised level 4 BTEC qualification.
LMG have always been an advocate of CNet Training’s programs over the years. Employees have previously been on various programs from The Global Data Centre and Network Infrastructure Education Framework including the Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCT®) and the Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP®). As well as LMG’s current employees due to attend future CNet programs, the company is also re-certifying those who already hold CNet certifications. This will enable their knowledge to be kept up to date with the very latest changes and technical developments within the industry and ensures they are aware of the latest standards and codes of practice.
LMG’s roots are firmly in the management of physical IT infrastructure. They have also backed the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) from CNet Training, which is shaping the future of the network infrastructure industry as the only industry standard certification for those working within the network cabling industry.
Ieuan Rowe, Chief Operating Officer at LMG, said: “At LMG we are committed to ensuring staff are up to date with the latest standards and changes within the industry in order to provide the best possible service and recognise that working with CNet Training is part of this process. We have worked with CNet Training for a number of years; previous experience has proven to be successful and we have formed a strong partnership.”
