IMEG will now accept the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) designation recently introduced in the U.S. market by CNet Training. IMEG considers CNCI® an equivalent to BICSI Installer 2 certification. In addition, once CNet’s CNIT® and CNIDP® designations are fully implemented, IMEG specifications will recognize them as equivalent to the BICSI Tech and RCDD certifications, respectively.
Industry credentials and certifications are among the criteria IMEG’s technology consulting team uses to help clients select qualified contractors.
“In a fast-moving, competitive world, having multiple options for the demonstration of low voltage infrastructure expertise is a positive for the industry,” said Jeff Carpenter, Senior Principal at IMEG. “We’re proud to be one of the first consulting firms in the U.S. to recognize this choice for contractors bidding on our projects.”
As the Internet of Buildings (IoB) accelerates as an extension of the Internet of Things (IoT) phenomenon, Carpenter said that “having qualified contractors is more important than ever for proper installation and functioning of a building’s ‘Technology Utility’ infrastructure.”
