CNet Training Announce Agreement with British Standards Online Library (BSOL)

CNet Training has announced an agreement with British Standards Online (BSOL) to offer learners access to the latest industry standards.

The agreement means CNet learners will have access to the latest British European industry standards and guidelines for reliable reference during their program to ensure the individuals learn best industry practices and processes.

BSOL is a service provided by the British Standards Institution and provides access to over 100,000 internationally recognised standards. In an unregulated industry, it is important for people at all levels to understand the role that standards play in ensuring that infrastructure and data centre projects are delivered to the highest technical and quality requirements. CNet has worked alongside BSI to put together a collection of 25 relevant standards for CNet’s technical education programs across The Digital Infrastructure Education Framework, spanning the data centre and network infrastructure sectors.

CNet is leading the way by introducing accessibility across all programs to educate learners about standards content and to de-mystify any previous misconceptions and provide the latest requirements to ensure each learner is able to be compliant in all aspects of infrastructure installation.

Paul Gorman, CNet’s Technical Development Manager, says, “Standards are essential and fundamental in providing a common framework of technical, quality and administrative requirements that are applied throughout the project lifecycle. They are vital for industry professionals throughout the digital infrastructure industry, to ensure compliance that is vital to timely project closure.”

Initially, the standards were made available for learners on the Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional (CNIDP®) program. However, the CNet team saw the huge value this provided to the learners and soon extended availability to all programs.

Learners will have full access to the library for the period that they are attending their chosen program.  The standards available on BSOL are continuously updated, providing CNet learners with the very latest information. This agreement demonstrates CNet’s on-going commitment to educating the industry regarding the importance of the standards and the need for compliance. CNet is the first industry education provider to offer this service.

CNet is working to secure similar agreements with other standards organisations across the world.
