The CNet Training Team is excited to help put University Technical Colleges (UTCs) on the education map by celebrating #thinkUTC Week.
UTC Heathrow was where the Digital Futures Programme started, uniting leading organisations across the data centre and network infrastructure sectors to help design and deliver a curriculum for 14-18 year olds, focused on the digital infrastructure industry. The aim; to introduce our amazing industry and the career opportunities within it to the younger generation, whilst also helping to tackle the talent shortage we have experienced for so long.
And… it is working, with three more ALET UTCs now delivering the Digital Futures Programme it is making a difference.
The employer engagement as part of the Digital Futures Programme is fantastic, designing and delivering workshops and challenges, as well as teaching core skills, attending open evenings and career fairs, we celebrate this important industry collaboration and all the industry partners that are commited to making it a continued success.
