We are seeking a Technical Graphic Designer to work closely with our lively, busy, and dynamic technical and marketing teams.
The main responsibility is to ensure the content of our customer facing technical material continues to impress and amaze our learners, allowing us to continue to excel within our global leading status. This is a role where creativity, innovation, the confidence to challenge and initiate visual changes by embracing new technology are a must.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
At least 4 years’ experience of digital design
- The ability to wow our learners with amazing, unforgettable technical content
- Have a technical mind, prepared to learn technical aspects to allow you to interpret verbal briefs and turn them into stand-out and technically accurate visual content
- Be a natural innovator, to challenge how we currently represent technical aspects
- Be inquisitive about embracing new technology to push the boundaries of visual representation throughout our program content
- Understand the importance of brand consistency - ensure all technical visual content is visibly CNet
- Confidence with relevant graphic software packages such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
- Confidence when using usual Microsoft Office software
- Have an eye for consistency and accuracy
- Have the agility to embrace and react to change as needed
- Personal ambition with the determination to make a visual difference
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Work with technical and marketing to create an unforgettable visual learner experience
- Ensuring all visual aspects of our program content are compelling and technically accurate
- Suggest new ways of representing visual aspects
- Re-create illustrations, diagrams, tables and graphs to adhere to CNet corporate style guidelines
- Produce a set of icons and standard images to use within technical material
This person will report to, and be guided by, the Head of Technical Development but also work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The role is mostly home based, however with some working at our Lincoln office (most frequently) or HQ just outside Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK.
