New EU Endorser Logo
24-05-2010

CNet Training have been official Endorsers of The EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres since March 2009, the code; launched by the European Commission provides guidelines, recommendations and examples of best practice which could lead to a reduction in energy consumption by data centres in Europe. CNet were one of the first organisations to sign to the code’s Endorser program and are the only global training company officially recognised as Endorsers. Because of CNet’s early participation, they were involved in the design of the Endorser and Participant Logos which were officially launched last week.

The key aim of the code of conduct is to inform data centre operators and encourage them to reduce energy consumption without hampering the performance of such facilities. This is achieved through a series of best practice recommendations which focus on design in areas such as software, IT architecture and infrastructure.

CNet, in conjunction with the BCS has written the only approved EU Code of Conduct training course which leads to an ISEB qualification. The course and qualification have been designed and written to help individuals understand the key points and best practices advised in the code.

CNet are one of the many leading global technology organisations officially committed to endorse the code, joining Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and Dell. To view a full list of official Endorsers please click.
