Fundamental Electrical Principles Course Overview

One of the most important essential points in any career is establishing solid foundations.
We find many people working as electricians who do not fundamentally understand electrical principles due to lack of training at the beginning of their career or losing the knowledge they gained originally. This course will give you the fundamental knowledge to understand how and why electrical systems work and will allow you to work with confidence.
Course Content
- Circuit elements including conductors, insulators and semiconductors
- Electrical circuit theory, current, voltage, power, resistance, inductance, capacitance, Ohm’s Law
- DC series, DC parallel and DC series-parallel circuits
- Magnetism and Electromagnetism
- AC, sine waves, frequency, single and 3 phase supplies
- AC voltage, current, peak, instantaneous, average and RMS values
- Line and phase voltages in a 3 phase system
- Circuit analysis using Kirchoff, Thevenin, Norton, Superposition theorems
- Transformer theory, star-delta connected loads
