Work Placement (MOD)

Military Forces Leavers also train with us, gaining the skills, practical experience and qualifications to embark on a new career within their chosen area.   Once they have successfully completed their training we offer them a two-week placement with a company to enhance their practical on-site experience.

This service is absolutely free to companies within the UK, who regularly welcome the students.   The arrangement is very straightforward;

  • You express an interest in joining the On-site Industry Training scheme
  • We register you on our database free of charge
  • We provide a qualified trainee engineer to you for a period of two weeks
  • There is no (obligation) to offer employment, however many companies do after the student has proved their competency and commitment to learning
  • If you choose to offer the student a permanent position there are still no fees to pay
We currently offer On-site Industry Training with the following courses:

Datacommunications & Fibre Optics Engineer

Students become competent in the installation and testing of copper cable as well as single and multimode fibre optics cabling for voice and data transmission and gain two Industry recognised BTEC qualifications.

Security Systems Installation Engineer
Students learn to design, install and maintain technology-based security systems in the form of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), intruder alarms and the connecting of copper and fibre optic cabling infrastructures and gain two Industry recognised BTEC qualifications.

Satellite TV Installer (BSkyB Accredited)
Students receive a comprehensive overview of Sky history from inspection to current market standing, including the knowledge and understanding of the relation between a geostationary orbit to satellite TV reception. Students will also gain an insight and understanding of City & Guilds & Sky Health & Safety policies and two Industry recognised BTEC qualifications.

If you would like further information about how you could be involved please contact us.
